Amazon Wildlife Guide
There are very few places that offer a better opportunity to observe wild animals in their natural habitat than the rainforests of the Amazon Basin—10 percent of the world's species are found here. Nat Hab travelers have the opportunity to cruise down the headwaters of the Amazon River in Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Peru's largest protected area, which is home to 527 bird species, 102 mammals, 69 reptiles, 58 amphibians, 269 fish and 1,024 plants.
