A very important feature of our Sedona and Grand Canyon adventure is the small group size, as nature encounters in the desert canyonlands are best experienced in the more intimate context of a smaller group. We divide our group into two vehicles, each with a guide, further enhancing a personalized experience and low-key presence.

Take this trip on a private basis, traveling exclusively with your immediate family, multi-generational family or group of friends. Please note that on Make It Private departures we have a minimum group size of half the maximum size of our regularly scheduled departures.

Accommodations, meals from dinner on Day 1 to breakfast on final day, drinking water throughout the trip, services of Nat Hab Expedition Leader, airport transfer on Day 1 and final day, some gratuities, all permits, entrance fees and taxes.
Not Included
Travel to and from start and end points of trip, alcoholic beverages, some gratuities, passport and visa fees, optional activities, items of a personal nature (phone calls, souvenirs, etc.), airline baggage fees, airport and departure taxes, optional travel insurance.
Physical Requirements
Easy to Moderate
This adventure requires a low to moderate degree of physical fitness to get the most out of your experience. While not everyday, you should be able to walk at least 3 miles unassisted on dirt and rock trails with potentially uneven terrain and inclines, and possibly muddy or slippery surfaces at altitudes up to 7,000 feet above sea level. In addition to longer walks, each day may bring several opportunities for short walks ranging from 300 yards to 1 mile. Most of the trip takes place in an arid desert environment, and the sun can often be intense. Our days generally start quite early and are very full with activities, including a few long drives. While travelers are not required to participate in all activities, should you opt out of the day’s scheduled activities, we cannot always guarantee that alternatives will be available.
On custom or private departures with smaller groups, our ability to accommodate varying levels of physical abilities or interests is limited, since these trips are staffed with a single Expedition Leader who may be assisted, pending availability, by local guides.

Mandatory Insurance
Since the areas we travel to are remote and wild (that's why we go there!), we require that all guests have, at minimum, medical evacuation insurance for this program. This is for the safety of all guests. We require that your chosen independent insurance plan includes at least $250,000 in medical evacuation coverage.
To protect your investment and to provide peace of mind while you travel, we also strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance. Plans may cover everything from medical treatment to trip cancellations and delays and lost luggage. Getting There & Getting Home
Arrival: Arrive by 4 pm in order to attend a welcome dinner beginning at 6 pm on Day 1.
