Tara DunnAdventure Concierge

Tara was born and raised in the Denver metro area. A Colorado native, Tara was heavily encouraged to spend time outside cultivating a relationship with nature as a child. She spent summers in Steamboat Springs and enjoying the outdoors from her family cabin in nearby Oak Creek. When Tara began adulting, she embarked on a journey of heavy personal exploration to figure out who she wanted to be and how she wanted to spend her life. As part of that process, she began traveling, spending in-depth time in the Rocky Mountains and exploring much of the U.S. She also took an influential trip to Peru, where she discovered the wonders of the Amazon and got to know the town of Tarapota. Tara was introduced to Natural Habitat Adventures in 2014 while working for another company within the same office complex. Tara joined Nat Hab in 2021 as an Administrative Assistant, combining her job with her passions for travel, discovery and conservation.
In 2023, Tara had an adventurous year. It all began in Alaska at Bear Camp. The vast Alaskan wilderness captivated her—waking up to the sound of bald eagles and encountering a mother bear and her cubs were indescribable experiences. She then embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure to the Galapagos Islands where she walked in Darwin's footsteps, surrounded by abundant wildlife on land and swimming with a large pod of dolphins at sea. She ended 2023 with a bang—or, rather, an eruption in Iceland! She could hear the echo of her soul amid fjords that looked like they touched the clouds. In this Nordic realm of waterfalls, glaciers, volcanoes and northern lights, the opportunities for adventure were endless! She is planning her next trip back to discover new areas and maybe even meet one of the Hidden People of Icelandic folklore.
