Rhoslyn AndersonField Staff Facilitator
Rhoslyn was born and raised in Homer, Alaska, where nature was an everyday part of life. Growing up in the woods overlooking Kachemak Bay, she spent her childhood climbing massive spruce trees, building forts, and picking wild berries with her sisters. Her family made sure she understood and appreciated the land they called home, taking her on adventures to Denali, Kenai Fjords and Prince William Sound.
Her travels extended beyond Alaska at an early age, visiting Scotland to connect with extended family. In college, she studied in Spain and has traveled throughout mainland Europe, the UK and New Zealand.
Rhoslyn earned a bachelor’s degree in global and multicultural studies from Montana State University, with minors in Hispanic and religious studies. She built a career in hospitality, joining Nat Hab as a Regional Operations Coordinator for Alaska and before becoming a Field Staff Facilitator.
She is also a dancer and dance instructor, having begun dancing at age nine. Rhoslyn has trained in jazz, ballet, modern and contemporary styles. Rhoslyn lives in Homer with her husband and daughter, Illyah Thistle, passing down the same deep connection to the wild that shaped her own childhood.
