Born and raised in Colorado, Matt has a natural affinity for the mountains and nature. He spent his childhood hiking and camping, exploring the backcountry. In 1992 he moved to Durango to take classes (ok. to be a ski bum!) and graduated with a degree in tourism management. Before coming to Boulder, Matt managed a hotel, gaining organizational and financial skills required for the international adventure industry. His international travels have taken him to Costa Rica, Mexico, Venezuela, Panama, Cayman Islands, Canada and more. His hobbies include skiing, biking, camping and hiking with his dogs.
