Marybeth grew up exploring the Pacific Northwest, searching for agates on Puget Sound shorelines and trekking through Seattle's urban parks and forests. Thus began her respect and admiration for the natural world, leading to her journey to help others find meaning and inspiration through travel with a focus on conservation. Documenting the world around her, Marybeth continued her passion for nature and culture through her education at Western Washington University, acquiring a BA in Fine Art and a Minor in Art History. During this time, she contributed to various publications, including The Planet, the university's environmental magazine.
Marybeth spent several years post-graduation as a professional photographer, shooting weddings and portraiture, before transitioning to a career in the travel industry. She helped clients prepare for their journey and ensured their experience was seamless. During this time, she traveled to the Galapagos Islands where she snorkeled with sea lions; to Southeast Alaska, where she watched humpback whales bubble-net feed for hours; and she traveled twice to the Antarctic Peninsula, where she fell in love with Adelie penguins. One of her fondest travel memories was at Brown Bluff in Antarctica, where she saw a leopard seal dive off a 15+ foot high glacier, fly through the air, and slink into the icy water below.
Recent exploration has taken her to Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park searching for endangered mountain gorillas, on safari drives through the Maasai Mara and Serengeti, exploring the Canadian tundra, and having remarkable brown bear viewings at Nat Hab’s Alaska Bear Camp.
