Mariah grew up in Niwot on the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies as part of a very adventurous family, spending many hours backpacking, skiing, kayaking and rock climbing in mountains. As a child, she lived with her family in Singapore for a short time, with opportunities to visit Malaysia and Thailand. These formative experiences sparked an interest in travel and a desire to return to that part of the world one day. Mariah attended the University of Colorado Boulder, studying English Literature. Before coming to Nat Hab, she managed an alterations and tailoring shop. Mariah loves the sustainability benefit of clothing repairs and finds creative ways to keep clothing out of landfills. She is excited to work at Nat Hab, a company that values conservation and sustainability so profoundly.
Some of Mariah’s best travel memories are family trips to Hawaii, snorkeling over coral reefs, and adventures in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece. Another favorite destination is California’s redwoods, where Mariah finds the sheer scale of these mighty trees difficult to put into words. She loves exploring all Colorado has to offer nearby and enjoys yoga, hiking, sewing, reading and spending time with her kids.
