LeNia was born and raised in Denver. Holding a Fine Arts degree in comic art from the Savannah College of Art and Design, LeNia aims to integrate her artistic passion with her role at Nat Hab. Her journey with the outdoors began with trepidation, but as she grew older, meditation, an interest in natural foods, and a newfound friendship rekindled her bond with nature. Now, she relishes hiking, and embracing sensory details such as birds in flight and the soothing sounds of rivers, which serve as a balm for life's daily stresses. LeNia enjoys excursions to Colorado's scenic locales, from water tubing in Deckers to exploring Rocky Mountain National Park.

As an accomplished children's book illustrator and emerging author, her work has a special emphasis on wellness. She takes joy in creating engaging narratives that bring children on adventures to vibrant worlds. Pivoting to real-world adventures, LeNia joined the Front Desk Team at Natural Habitat Adventures in 2023. She eagerly anticipates exploring new regions and deepening her understanding of conservation. LeNia's travels have thus far been within the U.S., with visits to California, Arizona, Georgia and Florida, among others. She aspires to explore Europe, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Costa Rica and Mexico.
