Kendra Olson
After graduating in 2008 from Santa Clara University in California, Kendra moved back to Chicago. By 2013, she realized she needed more outdoor adventure in her life, and she found her new home in Colorado where she currently lives with her husband, daughter and son. She loves the opportunity to get outside (whether it's camping, hiking, running or cross-fitting) to enjoy Colorado's beautiful weather and even more beautiful scenery.
Spending four months studying abroad in Spain made Kendra realize how big her travel passion is—and her wish list for future adventures grew long. In 2015, Kendra went cage diving with great white sharks at Guadalupe Island, off the coast of Mexico. In 2018, she traveled to Nat Hab’s Base Camp Greenland, where she immersed in the incredible beauty of one of our planet’s more remote areas. 2019 took her to the tundra of Churchill, Manitoba to spend time viewing polar bears and other arctic flora and fauna. In 2022, Kendra sat with mountain gorillas in Uganda, searched for the Big Five game animals through Kenya, and witnessed the Great Migration in Tanzania on our Ultimate East Africa Safari.
She continues towards her goal of taking as many unique, epic, life-changing trips to experience the rarely traveled parts of the world as possible. In 2023, Kendra traveled to South America where she spent a week cruising up and down the Marañon and Ucayali Rivers in Peru immersed in the sights and sounds of the Amazon Rainforest. She joined our Ultimate Alaska Wildlife Safari in 2024, where she hiked past caribou in Denali National Park, saw black bears, mountain goats, humpback whales and countless sea otters in Resurrection Bay, experienced an orca hunt in Cook Inlet and viewed some very large and healthy brown bears in Katmai National Park.
