Josh Campanella

Josh was born in Los Angeles and spent his formative years in Portland, Oregon. Childhood excursions to the San Diego Zoo and the Long Beach Aquarium ignited a deep-seated passion for animals. This love further evolved upon moving to Oregon, where the embrace of nature became irresistible. Camping, hiking, fishing, rafting and kayaking further deepened his bond with the natural world.

Josh's academic pursuits led him to Oregon State University, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in food science and technology. After a few years in the respective industry, he felt an itch for change, propelling him toward a career in web development. He has since acquired a broad proficiency in the digital domain, adeptly navigating everything from eCommerce to web apps. In August 2023, Josh joined the Nat Hab team as a Junior Web Developer. Nat Hab is a place where he can marry his professional skills as a developer with his love for nature and the great outdoors.

A typical Portlander, Josh loves biking around the city, enjoying the fruits of a wonderful craft beer industry, live music, hiking, camping and fishing. His other hobbies include playing guitar, working on and riding motorcycles, playing soccer and lifting weights. Josh's adventurous spirit has taken him from the sultry tropics of the Pacific Islands and the isolated frontiers of western Alaska to the desolate expanses of Death Valley and the humid swamps of the Southeast US. Among myriad adventures, one stands out: salmon fishing and trailing moose and bears in the immense wilderness of western Alaska.
