Born in New York and raised in Nebraska and North Carolina, Erin developed a deep love for the outdoors from an early age. As the youngest of three, she spent family vacations backpacking, enjoying lakeside adventures, and chasing her older brothers, who remain her best friends. Coming from a family of pilots, she aspires to become a bush pilot one day.
Her passion for adventure led her to Portland, Oregon, where she earned a Marketing degree from the University of Portland while also competing on the rowing team. Her first "real" job as a Whitewater Raft Guide ignited her enthusiasm for sharing outdoor experiences with others, even those new to the sport. This role instilled a love for outdoor action sports that would shape her career path. After a stint in the bike industry and obtaining a motorcycle license, she made the leap to the travel sector, focusing on experiences rather than products.
Her personal travels have taken her across the globe and fostered deep friendships, including a serendipitous meeting with a stranger in Switzerland that blossomed into a lasting friendship and multiple international trips. She's also attended the last three Women's World Cups in Canada, France, and Australia/New Zealand. When not working, Erin enjoys photography, whitewater rafting and collecting patches from her travels. Currently embracing a nomadic lifestyle, she jokes that she's based "everywhere but also nowhere," often spending more time on the road than home.
Together, Natural Habitat Adventures and World Wildlife Fund have teamed up to arrange nearly 100 nature travel experiences around the planet, while helping to protect the magnificent places we visit and their wild inhabitants.
