Emily DeemerDirector of Digital Marketing
Although Emily is a Hoosier at heart from Indianapolis, she chose to go to college across the country in New England. She studied psychology and environmental studies at Boston College, where she embarked on a life-changing immersion and volunteer trip to Chiapas, Mexico. She also got to spend a semester studying abroad in New Zealand where she thoroughly explored the South Island in a beat-up 1982 Nissan Sunbird that she and her friends purchased for about $400. At the end of the semester they sold the car for more than they bought it! She also got to visit Fiji and Australia on that adventure, and by the end, she was hooked on travel.
Right out of college Emily followed her passion, joining EF Educational Tours, a travel company specializing in international trips for high school students. With EF, Emily was fortunate to travel with students and teachers all over Europe, and to Jordan, Egypt, China, Japan, and Thailand. After four years with EF, she was ready to go back to school to pursue an MBA focusing on marketing and environmental sustainability at the University of Colorado Boulder. She was thrilled to join the Nat Hab team, because she’s never happier than when she's helping others travel the world. She's been fortunate to travel to some amazing destinations with Nat Hab, including Churchill, South Africa, Cuba, Katmai National Park, the Galapagos Islands, Mexico, Botswana and Zambia.
In her free time you can find Emily “rocking out” on the violin at wedding gigs with her classical string quartet, or hiking and skiing in the Rocky Mountains.
