Duntavius was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Despite growing up around skyscrapers and concrete, he developed a love for watery realms, which turned out to be a main impetus in joining Nat Hab in 2023. His childhood was filled with fishing trips with his father, whitewater rafting, kayaking and visits to the lakes of Georgia's Stone Mountain Park. His passion for water also drives his passion for marine wildlife conservation efforts, a focus he is actively committed to.  Duntavius's love for the ocean has inspired travels to Mexico and South America, where he encountered gray whales in the Sea of Cortez and came across marine iguanas in the Galapagos.

Duntavius received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Clayton State University and an associate’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University. After college, he moved to Orlando where he started his career with Walt Disney World Resort, at one point becoming a safari truck driver. He later held various travel sales positions, eventually moving on to become Executive Sales Manager for LEGOland Florida Resort. On a side note, while the travel industry was down during the COVID-19 pandemic, Duntavius went to school to become a licensed massage therapist, something he always wanted to do because of his love for hydrotherapy.

Duntavius’s favorite time to travel the world is during the autumn months as he is a self-proclaimed “leafer” who visits new regions just to see their changing foliage. He is never too far away from the water, as he follows river bends, hikes to waterfalls and dreams of the sea. Duntavius has a deep love for the outdoors and is always planning his next big nature adventure. He shares these passions with his high school sweetheart turned wife—traveling the world together is their favorite past time.
