Charles "Chaz" Crawford
Charlie first considered wildlife research as a career after devouring everything he could about the reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone and the massive impact that keystone species had on the landscape. He passionately pursued carnivore conservation in college, studying wildlife science at Virginia Tech and conducting the first population estimate of carnivores in Eastern Madagascar.
For over 15 years, Charlie has dedicated himself to protecting wildlife in some of the world’s most remote locations, including Madagascar, Belize and the Dominican Republic. He finds the greatest reward in exposing travelers to these unique natural wonders, helping them connect with the wildlife and conservation efforts so close to his heart. Now, as a member of the Nat Hab team, he channels his enthusiasm for the outdoors into creating unforgettable experiences for guests, inspiring a deep appreciation for the natural world.
