Caitlin Moore
She spent three months in Costa Rica, hopped over to Peru, saw the northern lights in Iceland, and eventually landed in Southeast Asia, where she lived off-and-on in Indonesia for two years. During her forays abroad, she developed a deep admiration for the natural world and for protecting the wild animals within it. She returned to Seattle, seeking to set roots in the shadow of evergreens, but couldn’t escape the pull to travel.
Compromising, she became an expedition advisor for a small travel company, where she helped others discover the wildest parts of the planet. She was able to see these remote places for herself, too. She sailed the Amazon River, fell in love with the walrus of Svalbard, and discovered her animal equivalent, the fierce Adelie penguin, in Antarctica. In 2024, Caitlin joined the Nat Hab team as an Operations Coordinator.
After traveling to all seven continents, her favorite travel memories include a two-week solo road trip through Slovenia in the dead of winter, walking the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain, meeting penguins in Antarctica, and trekking the Tour du Mont Blanc in the Alps. Between travels, you can find her reading, backpacking, doing pottery, hiking or attempting to finish the crossword. As a writer, she also delights in sharing travel stories and resources on her website, Moore Misadventures.
