Brooke MitchellWebinar Host & Producer
Raised in the Appalachian hills of southern Ohio, Brooke developed a lifelong passion for nature. Her childhood was filled with wildlife documentaries and explorations of her forested surroundings. This early fascination led her to pursue a career in big cat conservation. Brooke earned a zoology degree from The Ohio State University in 2014 and her master's in biology from Miami University in 2017. During graduate school, she discovered the power of sustainable travel for wildlife conservation, prompting a shift from nonprofit work to the travel industry.
Her global wildlife experiences include snorkeling with whale sharks in Baja California, exploring the Galapagos Islands, interviewing conservationists in Chilean Patagonia and accompanying researchers in Costa Rica's rainforests. She's also searched for polar bears near Hudson Bay, tracked tigers in Nepal and India, and embarked on numerous African safaris.
In 2021, Brooke launched the Rewildology Podcast, exploring conservation, travel and rewilding efforts worldwide. She hosts experts from various fields, delving into their stories, motivations and career discoveries. Brooke is excited to apply her conservation and sustainability expertise to Nat Hab's mission of protecting our planet through inspiring travel experiences, supporting local communities and boldly influencing the travel industry.
