Brooke was born in Omaha and raised in Burwell, in the heart of the Nebraska Sandhills. As a child, she spent a tremendous amount of time outside, playing by the river and making mud pies with her sister. Summers growing up meant swimming, biking and tubing or tanking down the river, while winters were spent sledding, making snow forts and cuddling up with hot cocoa. Brooke also developed an early love of travel, often vacationing with her family in the Rocky Mountains. Now, she and her husband love taking weekend trips to the Rockies with friends, where they enjoy exploring trails, waking up early to catch the sunrise with a cup of coffee and breathing in the mountain air.
Brooke majored in business education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. After graduating, Brooke moved back to the rural community of Broken Bow to be with her husband. She quickly realized she belonged in an accounting department, and her first job as a customer support assistant taught her many aspects of handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer service and inventory management. Brooke is pursuing her master’s degree in accounting and is excited to be a part of Nat Hab, a company whose conservation commitments align with her own.
At her home in Broken Bow, Nebraska, you can find Brooke reading a book outside, going for a run, doing yoga and, of course, being a great dog mom to her two pups. Occasionally, you can also find her opening gates for her husband on the ranch. She recently traveled to Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks with Nat Hab, and has plenty of travel plans in the works.
