Aly JacobsenDirector of Conservation Group Travel
Born and raised in the charming countryside of southern Pennsylvania, Aly spent much of her childhood getting lost in the woods and learning about animals from her veterinarian father. These formative experiences fostered a deep appreciation for nature and an innate curiosity about the world. She took every opportunity in high school and college to travel and experience new cultures, and by the time she graduated from the College of William and Mary her thirst for adventure was strong. So, she headed West.
Joining Nat Hab in its early days, Aly found purpose and meaning in helping to bring travelers to the world’s wildest realms. She’s held a variety of roles at the company and is now part of the “old guard,” with deep institutional knowledge that she shares with new hires and guests.
This career has also supported her wanderlust, and she has built up an extensive Nat Hab travel resume, with trips to Costa Rica, Guatemala, the Galapagos Islands, Machu Picchu and both the Peruvian and Ecuadorian Amazon. She’s searched for tigers in India, pandas in China, and rare river dolphins in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. She’s explored both poles, from the Canadian Arctic to Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands. But Africa holds a special place in her heart, and she’s spent extensive time in east and southern Africa. Stateside, Aly’s adventures include trips to Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks, the scenic canyons of the American Southwest and Alaska’s Katmai coast.
Aly lives in Boulder with her husband and their two wild Coloradan kids.
