Sabina Moll 2021
Born and raised in the heart of the Alps, Sabina spent her childhood roaming the forests and mountains of southern Germany, cultivating a passion for the natural world. This early fascination led her to study biology with a focus on ecology and conservation, ultimately earning an M.S. in Biology from the University of Regensburg. Her research took her to remote ecosystems across the globe—from the Siberian boreal forest to the savannas of Burkina Faso and the rainforests of the Peruvian Amazon—where she thrived in wild, untamed landscapes.
In 2017, Sabina found her true calling on the west coast of Canada as a wilderness and bear-viewing guide in British Columbia’s Great Bear Rainforest. Her deep knowledge of wildlife ecology, combined with her desire to connect people to nature, made her a natural fit for leading immersive experiences in one of the world’s last great coastal temperate rainforests.
Today, Sabina is a photo Expedition Leader, where she merges her background in science with her talents as a wildlife photographer. Through the lens of her camera, she captures rare and intimate moments in the wild—especially of bears, which hold a special place in her heart—and helps travelers do the same. Her goal is to inspire awe, foster conservation awareness and provide guests with transformative experiences that create lasting memories.
When she’s not guiding, Sabina seeks out remote adventures of her own, often hiking deep into British Columbia’s wilderness in pursuit of solitude, beauty and connection.
