Jordan Jones
Jordan attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, graduating with a degree in wildlife ecology and education. During his studies, he took an internship as a safari guide in South Africa where fell in love with guiding and knew it would be his life’s path. After graduating in 2015, he started a nomadic journey, backpacking through more than 20 countries in Europe, Southeast Asia and Africa. After several years of countless adventures, he returned to found North America to begin his first backcountry guiding job, taking guests on week-long treks in the Great Smoky Mountains and Yellowstone National Park. While he loved working in these two diverse national parks, he heard something else calling to him: wild Alaska.
Jordan first traveled to the Alaskan interior when he was 14, visiting his uncle who lived in an off-grid cabin, catching salmon, viewing bears, flying in bush planes and climbing mountains. He was finally able to call Alaska home himself after moving to Homer in 2020. He has worked as a backpacking and kayaking guide across the state, from Noatak National Preserve in the Brooks Range in the Arctic to Tongass National Forest in the Southeast Panhandle. In 2022, Jordan joined Nat Hab as an Expedition Leader in Alaska and other U.S. national parks. When he's not working, you can find him backpacking, camping, hiking, rock climbing, Nordic skiing, birding, crafting and foraging.

Jordan is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help us find Yellowstone wildlife.
J. Burris
Jordan is amazing! His breadth knowledge of ecology, animals, etc. is amazing. If I or any of the others asked a question, he almost always had the answer, and if he didn't, he would say so and find the answer and get back to us. He was patient, pleasant, kind and and fun to be with. Also very accommodating if there was any need.
