"The mountains are calling, and I must go." Jenn grew up in Ballard in California's Santa Ynez Valley and felt called to the Sierra Nevada every summer during high school. Whether serving guests at a mountain resort or interpreting the landscape as a Forest Service Ranger, Jenn called the mountains home. After graduating from Cal Poly Humboldt with a master’s degree in park and resource management, the Rocky Mountains were calling. So Jenn started her career as a National Park Ranger in Yellowstone, moved on to Glacier and then returned to the Sierras in Yosemite. From there, it was on to the sand dunes and high desert of Mojave National Preserve, the wealth of American history at the National Mall in Washington D.C. and the adventures of Lewis and Clark along the Missouri in Omaha, Nebraska. While the diversity of landscapes and cultures across the country were intriguing, the mountains called Jenn back. She worked as the Program Director for an outdoor education non-profit among the Transverse Ranges in Santa Barbara County until her long-awaited return to Montana and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Jenn has been sharing her passion for nature with young and old alike for over 25 years. Now, as a Nat Hab Expedition Leader based out of Bozeman, Montana, she leads groups into Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Glacier and Yosemite national parks. Her desire for every adventure is for travelers to experience the outdoors in a unique way that makes for an unforgettable experience!
In her free time, Jenn enjoys taking hikes with her Labrador Retriever, spending time with her church family, reading a good book on cold winter nights, creative writing, photography and graphic design.
