Bella is an Expedition Leader in the Cotswolds, UK. She grew up in the South of England and has spent most of her time enjoying the wilderness of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. She has always had a keen interest in the outdoors, whether walking, cycling, hiking or riding horses through the beautiful countryside. Her love of nature was influenced by her father, who runs a conventional, non-organic agricultural farm, and her mother, an environmental activist who runs an organic garden selling produce at farmers' markets. This mix has given Bella a broad understanding of the complexities British farmers face when competing in today's globalized markets. Bella earned a bachelor's degree in politics from Newcastle University. Having struggled with disordered eating in the past, she now actively works to support those with similar struggles and engages in discussions about the farm-to-fork movement, food quality and the influence of diet. Bella has always found peace in nature, especially the mountains, and was drawn to working as a naturalist guide from a young age.
Bella became a Nat Hab Expedition Leader in the Cotswolds in 2024 and has facilitated retreats as a mountain leader, yoga teacher and pilates instructor since 2016. In addition to leading adventures in the Cotswolds for Nat Hab, she guides in the Lake District, Snowdonia, Yorkshire and along the Jurassic Coast. She also leads yoga treks around the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. Her day-to-day life involves being in nature, movement, social connection, and finding meaning and purpose as much as possible.
In her free time, Bella loves sports, especially tennis, running, yoga and cross-country skiing, as well as adventuring with friends and family.
