His guiding career began with nighttime forest walks in the Amazon, where he developed a talent for interpreting the rainforest’s hidden life. He soon expanded his work to designing sustainable ecotourism programs and managing logistics for film crews in Peru’s Tambopata National Reserve. Over the years, he has worked as a fixer and expedition leader for the BBC, Icon Films and Galatee Films, sharing the Amazon’s wonders with global audiences. Now, he brings his expertise to Nat Hab as the Expedition Leader on the Great Amazon River Cruise.
Guillermo has led expeditions from the Amazon to Antarctica, navigating the Orinoco and exploring some of the world’s most biodiverse regions. He has collaborated with NGOs on conservation and ecotourism, working closely with Indigenous communities in the Amazon and beyond, including Sri Lanka. His work bridges adventure, education and conservation, offering travelers a deeper connection to the natural world.
