Daniela Nieto
Drawn to the ocean, Dany moved to La Paz, Baja California Sur, to study marine biology. When writing her thesis on aquatic birds as environmental monitors, she became an avid birdwatcher. She developed a love of sailing out on the water and eventually received her captain's license. Dany began a career as a whale-watching and bird-watching guide, leading kayaking, hiking and snorkeling tours around Baja. In 2023, she became an Expedition Leader with Natural Habitat Adventures. She feels lucky to have the chance to observe the animals she grew up admiring on nature programs and is eager to share these wildlife experiences with travelers.
Dany enjoys reading, painting, camping and spending time with her three beautiful children. Growing up with strong women role models, she strives to encourage other women guides and sailors to achieve their dreams.
