Daniela Iglesias
Born in 1986 in Playas, Ecuador, Daniela spent her childhood on Santa Cruz Island, where the Galapagos’ unique landscapes and wildlife shaped her love for nature. At 15, her family moved to Guayaquil, allowing her and her siblings to complete high school. But her heart belonged to the archipelago. In 2008, she returned to the Galapagos, where she trained as a naturalist guide through the Galapagos National Park, turning her passion for the outdoors into a career.
A Nat Hab Expedition Leader since 2023, Daniela brings deep knowledge and enthusiasm to guiding travelers through this UNESCO World Heritage Site she proudly calls home. She finds immense joy in sharing the islands’ wonders, inspiring a sense of stewardship in those who visit. At home near Bellavista on Santa Cruz Island, she and her husband foster the same love for nature in their two children, encouraging hands-on learning through exploration.
In her free time, Daniela enjoys scuba diving, cycling, playing piano and cooking with friends—a passion she once pursued through gastronomy studies in Guayaquil. Her travels have taken her to Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, the U.S. and Peru, but the Galapagos will always be home.
