Celinda Humilde 2016
Celinda was born in Maras, Peru, a small community located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, approximately 25 miles north of Cusco. When she was young, her family moved to Cusco where she attended a public school, expanded her knowledge base, and along with her brothers, eventually went on to be part of the first generation in her family to pursue higher education.
In 2001, Celinda began working in the tourism industry. She is a certified guide, and though she says she found this career by “coincidence,” she feels that being a naturalist guide was her destiny. She has worked for various companies leading exploratory glacier journeys, hiking trips on the Inca Trail, and cultural visits to rural areas. In her free time, she loves to travel with her family, discover new places and explore new trails.
What Our Guests Say
Celinda was with us the entire trip, and she was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and tailored our trips and visits to what she thought would be best, most interesting and fun for our family. She was great, and we would all highly recommend her!
Celinda was equally adept at making us feel at home and sharing her love of place with us as we explored together.
Our Cusco, Sacred Valley and Lima guide, Celinda, was fabulous and extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed our days with her and wished we could have taken her to the Amazon with us!
