Spread over a vast area of land,
China is subject to climatic extremes. The east, south
and southwest
is generally warm, humid and rainy, and the north is usually dry and windy. The Yangtze River is the dividing line between the north and south China, and the climate varies from bitter cold in winter to unbearable heat in summer. Our adventures take place during the mild spring and fall seasons. During this time, the climate is generally pleasant. However, there is a chance of rain in all areas.
The weather in the Rilong area can be unpredictable due to its high altitude. Temperatures will be cool especially in early mornings and late afternoons (it can be below freezing!), and it's not unlikely that we will experience snow.
