The climate in Churchill during the summer can vary greatly, with temperatures ranging from 30ºF to 90ºF. On average, the temperature is generally in the 60s, with daytime highs reaching the upper 70s and nighttime lows dropping to the 40s, with a strong northerly wind. There is usually still some ice on the bay and on the river at the beginning of the season; however, and the days we spend on the whale-watching boat can be quite chilly.
