Its exclusive geometric construction features a glass roof and glass sides from waist-height up. A heated interior and cushioned seats offer guests a warm and comfortable vantage point on the night sky.
“It’s like being inside a toasty greenhouse in the Arctic,” says Ben Bressler, founder and president of Nat Hab. “It’s perfect for unobstructed viewing while staying cozy and warm.”

And, of course, the Aurora Pod® is located well outside town on the edge of the vast expanse of the tundra, away from any residual light to distract from the intensity of the auroral display.

Churchill is located directly beneath the Van Allen Belt, a layer of energy-charged particles that wraps the polar regions and is held in place by the Earth’s magnetic field, creating one of the heaviest concentrations of auroral activity in the world.

Churchill is one of the best places on Earth to see the Northern Lights, and our Aurora Pod® makes that wondrous experience even more exhilarating. When the northern lights are dancing, you'll find no better way to watch the heavenly drama on display!
