Agra & the Taj Mahal Extension

As this is an optional extension, group size may vary, but is limited to 6 or 8 travelers.

Transportation from Ranthambore or Delhi to Agra, accommodations, meals from lunch Day 1 to lunch on final day, departing airport transfer from JW Marriott Hotel, drinking water throughout and soft drinks at meals, services of a local guide and drivers, still camera fees, permits, entrance fees and all taxes.

Alcoholic beverages, items of a personal nature (phone calls, laundry, Internet, etc.), fees for video cameras at the Taj Mahal monument and gratuities.

Easy
This extension does not require a high degree of physical fitness, although travelers must be able to walk unassisted (without the use of walking aids) at a steady pace for two miles over uneven terrain, as well as climb multiple stairs at the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. This extension also involves a train ride and long drive (5+ hours). Although we avoid the hottest part of the day during outings, note that daily temperatures may exceed 110°F.

On this extension our primary focus is visiting and photographing India’s most famous cultural monuments. Local guides will escort us during our daily excursions.

Take a private van from Ranthambore or Delhi to Agra on the final day of your India Tiger Quest safari to begin your extension. After Agra and you will drive back to Delhi where an overnight room is at your disposal. You are free to schedule your flight from Delhi to depart any time after 7 pm on the final day of the extension.
