WEBINAR | The Exotic Wilds of Borneo: Orangutans, Monkeys & More
Borneo is home to some of the world's oldest rainforests, sheltering an array of rare and endemic species, including orangutans. Expedition Leader Court Whelan introduces us to these and other wild species you’ll encounter on our Borneo adventures, including pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys and rhinoceros hornbills. Learn what’s in store on this tropical safari, from night walks in search of nocturnal creatures to a private tour of a sun bear rehabilitation center. Get Court’s packing list, plus learn all about our special Borneo Photo Expeditions, too!
WEBINAR | Tiny Worlds: Revealing the Magic of Macro Photography
From majestic mountains to enormous elephants, we often focus on the "big picture" when it comes to nature photography. But to tell the whole story, you also have to look for the beauty in small things. Photo Expedition Leader Laura Geissinger explains how macro photography can give us a deeper understanding of the natural phenomena we encounter, from the petals of an alpine wildflower to the tiny toes of a tree frog in a tropical rainforest. Get her tips for improving your close-up shots of small subjects, and take a peek at the tiny treasures she’s photographed on Nat Hab trips.
WEBINAR | Color Correction 3 Ways: My Photo-editing Workflow
The rich brown of a grizzly bear. The fluorescent green of a peat bog. The reds and golds of fall foliage. Nature knows no bounds when it comes to color, but capturing those hues in photos can be challenging. Expedition leader and pro photographer Charlie Reinertsen shares three approaches to color grading, all geared toward producing a natural, neutral color balance. Charlie will use Lightroom Classic to demonstrate these techniques (using his images of the Northern Peatlands and Yellowstone), but they can be applied in any photo-editing software.
