Traveler David Gresham tells how a longtime passion for photography led him to go see the Great Migration on an East Africa safari with Nat Hab. In this personal encounter shared with firsthand footage, David describes the magic of being surrounded by wild animals all day, then returning to the idyllic comforts of a safari camp at night.

In Part 1 of her “Artistic Wildlife Photography” series, South Africa Photo Expedition Leader Danielle Carstens explained how to use "high-key" and "low-key" photography techniques to capture wall-worthy photos of African wildlife, from lions and hippos to elephants, giraffes and marabou storks. In this follow-up, she shares advice on shooting animals in silhouette and using slow-shutter photography (including lighting conditions, camera settings and editing techniques) to create unique nature images.

Nature knows no bounds when it comes to color, but capturing those hues in photos can be challenging. Expedition leader and pro photographer Charlie Reinertsen shares three approaches to color grading, all geared toward producing a natural, neutral color balance. Charlie will use Lightroom Classic to demonstrate these techniques (using his images of the Northern Peatlands and Yellowstone), but they can be applied in any photo-editing software.
