Most Southern Africa safaris concentrate on Kruger National Park, known for legendary wildlife, but a well-rounded itinerary reveals so much more to this region. Capitalize on excellent odds to see the Big Five in Sabi Sand, learn about the mysterious ebb and flow of the Savuti Channel, search for elusive wild dogs and seasonal elephant herds in the Linyanti Reserve, and look for rare red lechwe and sitatunga in the Okavango Delta. Special Activities & Secluded Accommodations Away from Crowds
Many safaris stay at large, commercialized lodges. In contrast, we feature small, intimate camps located in private wildlife reserves known for the best animal viewing. On private reserves we can participate in exclusive activities not permitted in public parks, including night game drives, walking safaris and picnic meals in the bush. And in such settings, typically no more than one to three vehicles are allowed near an animal sighting, whereas in more heavily frequented areas on public land, there may be 15 or 20 vehicles surrounding one lion. Camps located inside national parks and game reserves must follow park rules, so typically no walks or night drives are allowed.

A Window Seat for Every Traveler
On wildlife drives, we guarantee each guest a window seat in the open-sided vehicles we use, which feature stadium-style, graduated seating. Many safari operators use crowded mini buses or utilize each space, squeezing passengers into middle seats. The camps we use will limit the number of guests to no more than seven in a 10-seat safari vehicle, allowing for maximum comfort, extra space, unimpeded views and better photos.
