Born and raised in Maun, Botswana, Victor grew up spending weekends and school holidays helping out on a farm in the Kalahari. He studied international business communication and worked his way into managing camps in the Jao concession in the Okavango Delta before eventually becoming the guide coordinator at Jao Camp. He holds the Wilderness Safaris Guiding Qualification Level 2 and Walking Certificate and is a member of the Botswana Birdlife Association, to which he reports sightings of rare and threatened bird species. His photography of rare sightings has been published in Africa Geographic, Africa Birds, Birding and Taste Magazine. Victor took a short hiatus from Natural Habitat and our partner Wilderness Safaris to work in mobile safaris as a private guide, during which time he also had the opportunity to visit Rwanda's primates. Nat Hab is thrilled to have such a high caliber guide back on our team.
This was the most fantastic trip. I have been on safari with other companies and other guides but this was 400% better. Our Expedition Leader, Victor, was very good at tracking, was humble, informative and gracious. I cannot say enough about him. I feel very blessed to have this Botswana guide for this trip. He is an awesome individual.

Vic was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and answered all questions. He did everything he could to make sure we saw as many animals and sights as possible. He was a great tracker as well. He would see lion prints and let us know if they were fresh or not. If fresh, he would track them and it seemed like we would turn a corner and, BAM, there was a lion! He always put us in the best position for taking pictures as well. I really can't say enough good things about him. He was a big reason why this was the best trip of my life.

Victor was wonderful. His expertise and professionalism made this trip the extraordinary adventure that it was. He has a great knowledge of African animals. trees, birds, etc. He identified tracks, bird and animal sounds with ease. He anticipated where an animal was going or what it was going to do. He always answered my questions. He was very aware of giving us the opportunity to get good pictures via the location of the vehicle and the sun. I would definitely take a trip again with him as the guide.
