Jordan's wanderlust was sparked during childhood, fueled by cross-country trips with his father that exposed him to national parks and the American West. After completing high school in St. Louis, Jordan felt a pull toward natural science. Opting for a gap year, he immersed himself in Yellowstone, working for its concessionaire and volunteering for the National Park Service. In 2013, inspired to share his knowledge of and passion for Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, he moved to the area to become a guide. A Nat Hab Expedition Leader since 2023, Jordan relishes introducing travelers to the rich ecology of these national parks as a steward of America's largest unbroken ecosystem.
 
In between seasons, Jordan has broadened his horizons through volunteering with nonprofits such as Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms and Helpx. He delved into permaculture and biodiversity, engaging in organic and sustainable farming practices. 2016 saw him embrace a new adventure, spending six months hiking the Appalachian Trail. Since then, he has traveled extensively. Outside of guiding, Jordan enjoys rock climbing, backpacking and backcountry camping.
