Daniel Sanchez
Daniel Sanchez
Daniel was born in Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos. He and his brothers spent their childhood on a cattle farm in the highlands of Santa Cruz, surrounded by Darwin’s finches and giant tortoises. Daniel’s father was his biggest inspiration in becoming a naturalist guide. His father was also a naturalist and worked as a sea captain for small vessels during the early years of ecotourism in the Galapagos. Daniel has followed in his father’s footsteps and continues to find magic in every outing in the Galapagos archipelago. He is passionate about the ocean and enjoys underwater photography, having documented the islands’ marine life for many years. His favorite part of his job as an Expedition Leader is showing travelers this unique environment and seeing the Galapagos anew through their eyes. He is delighted to be a part of the Nat Hab team.
