Although she was born in Switzerland, Branka was raised in Zagreb—the capital of Croatia—by a Peruvian mum and Croatian dad. After high school, Branka attended the Zagreb School of Economics, where she majored in marketing. Her deep passion for travel, however, led her to her first job as an adventure outdoor guide in 2007. She immediately fell in love with the role, which she continued in for the next 15 years. Over the years, she has polished her guiding knowledge, upgrading her skills through different courses. She is fluent in English, German and Spanish and recently started learning French. She is a passionate skier and snowboarder. In the winter, she spends as much time as possible on the snow, whether on the slopes with her family or in the backcountry with friends. In 2013, Branka traveled to Alaska to heli-ride and snowboard in the wilderness—a personal travel highlight. Branka also loves sea kayaking, hiking, trekking and just being in the forest. Her favorite trekking destination is Patagonia, especially Chile's Torres Del Paine National Park. She is happily married and a dedicated mother to her son, Bruno.
Branka was amazing! She had a lot of energy that kept us inspired to keep going and was very fun to be around. She is also very knowledgeable about the history, culture and environment of Croatia. So much fun!

Other than 'mountain goat,' the words that best describe Branka are 'joy' and 'wonder.' Branka brought such joy to the trip and she has a unique ability to truly understand her guests and anticipate their needs. The talent to bring strangers together in a seemingly effortless way is a true benefit in group travel and helped create a perfect trip.

Branka was a terrific Expedition Leader. Her sense of humor and her seemingly boundless energy were infectious! Her depth of knowledge about everything we did on the itinerary was very impressive. She also was able to answer all of our various questions about Croatia, its history, life in Croatia, etc. She was patient with everyone, she was curious about us and was a very good listener. Overall, Branka added a great aspect to the trip by helping make it enjoyable and fun.
