Amanda was born in New Jersey, but this East Coast native has a West Coast heart. Before she moved to Colorado in 2014, she left Jersey to attend the University of Maryland where she earned degrees in communications and Spanish. During college, Amanda ran the ski and snowboard club, embarking on winter escapades all over the U.S. and Canada. In addition to traveling by snowboard and dog sled, Amanda traveled by plane to Australia, New
Zealand and Fiji the summer before her senior year of college. After graduation, she backpacked through Europe and Northern Africa,
immersing herself in life-changing cultural experiences. She has also traveled to Indonesia and Israel. Now, she's helping Nat Hab guests satisfy their wanderlust as an Adventure Specialist. Since joining the Nat Hab family, Amanda has realized her lifelong dream of seeing her favorite animal up close in the wild—the polar bears of Churchill! Her adventures with Nat Hab have also included Alaska, the Galapagos Islands, Botswana and Zambia, Borneo and Antarctica.
Amanda's passion for travel, the outdoors and sustainability have certainly been enhanced while living in Colorado. During the summer, she spends her time hiking, camping and working on an organic farm...but her “snowbunny self” thrives in winter, flying down a mountain on a snowboard.
