“The trip was fantastic. Even the “rest” stops were times to enjoy different scenery or catch up on reflections from the day. We probably liked Serengeti the best of the various locations. For a wild habitat adventure, you can’t beat seeing hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelle, a lion pride of 16 (including four baby kittens and four “teenagers”), scores of elephant, a dozen or so cheetah and hyenas, and who knows how many giraffes and ostrich. Serengeti had it all. The ability to roam free on the plains, to get so close to the wildlife, and the feeling of really being in the wild made a lasting impression.”
