Typically, a dog is the animal a mail carrier has to worry about most while doing his or her job. Not so in Centerville, Massachusetts.
It’s a wild turkey this intrepid driver has to watch out for. The bird has been attacking the U.S. Postal Service recently, and Eric Williams caught it all on camera for the Cape Cod Times.
Wild turkeys can be found in 49 states; Alaska is the only U.S. state without them. Perhaps this particular East Coast one found out his check truly wasn’t in the mail?

Very funny and cute. Thanks for sharing.
Maybe a reaction to Thanksgiving? Could be they’re finally mad as hell and aren’t going to take it any more. But still, a truck vs. a bird? Maybe Ben Franklin was wrong about the intelligence of this species.
This samething happened in Madison Wi. a couple of years ago. It was in the arboretum.
The turkey in my neighborhood in Staten Island, NY does the exact same thing….sometimes regular cars too, but he loves chasing the mail truck!
