“One evening, after a long day of safari drives in the bush, we came upon a young male lion right as dusk was falling. Rather than head back to camp, we decided to follow him for a while. As full darkness descended, and with only a few stars to provide light, we used a red spotlight to keep this magnificent animal in sight as he meandered down the track.
Can you imagine the tension when this 400-pound lion turned around and calmly walked past our safari vehicle, only a few feet from us, in the dark, and illuminated only by a dim red light? Viewing animals in the Botswana bush is an alien, but safe and exciting, adventure when in the company one of Nat Hab’s excellent and experienced guides. We wholeheartedly recommend it to the adventurous traveler.”
