Sabi Sabi guide Kosie Lategan captured this dramatic image of a wild dog and a spotted hyena squaring off over a kill. He wrote about the age old rivalry between the species recently on Sabi Sabi’s blog. Interestingly, wild dogs, in spite of a marked size disadvantage, more often than not come out on top in conflicts with hyenas because of their usually superior numbers and ability to work as a team.
