This remarkable photo of the Galapagos Islands was taken on October 28th, 2010 from the Soyuz TMA-19 spacecraft, which was docked to the international space station, 220 miles above the Earth. Isabela is the most prominent and recognizable island in the photo, which isn’t surprising since it accounts for about 1,700 of the total 3,028 square miles of landmass in the island chain.
