Our trip begins at the contemporary Southern Sun in the commercial capital of Dar es Salaam. On safari, we stay at remarkably well-appointed bush camps and lodges given the remoteness of our locations. Each offers private accommodations – typically large, thatched walk-in canvas tents or cottages with stone or wood verandahs featuring views of wildlife habitat – with full en suite facilities. Common areas provide space to dine and relax, and a crackling campfire is a favorite element of an African bush night.
