Tanda Tula Field Camp
Location
Greater Kruger Park, South Africa
Evoking the atmosphere of a bygone era, Tanda Tula Field Camp offers a truly exclusive and private safari experience. The wholly mobile camp’s philosophy and practices are similar to those of the early explorer camps of Africa. Tanda Tula Field Camp is set up and taken down for each exclusive-use safari, and the locations will vary throughout the year depending on the season and game patterns. Open to the outdoors beyond, the camp allows you the opportunity to get up close to nature, and guided walking safaris are a special hallmark here.
The field camp is comprised of four explorer tents configured to suit each private group of travelers, accommodating a maximum of eight guests. Each tent has its own outdoor bathroom with hot water bucket shower, eco-toilet and bath amenities. Oil and solar lanterns provide light in lieu of electricity. The camp's ecological operations and light footprint also ensure a low impact on the environment. Cell service is very limited, and guests are encouraged to silence their phones during their stay, to enhance the sense of seclusion and safari authenticity.
A full field bar, dining table and lounge area offer hospitable settings in which to socialize, with campaign-style furnishings inviting relaxation and a personal chef on site to provide fine cuisine. The central fire pit is the ideal gathering spot for convivial evenings under the stars. Your private guide, camp host and dedicated camp staff look after your every need. Activities can be arranged on a whim, and guided walks and game drives can be as long or as short as you choose. Tanda Tula Field Camp is open to guests age 14 and higher.
