Set in five hectares of manicured gardens, Relais de Masoala is a charming lodge. Its 12 cabins are set well apart from one another, and are beautifully appointed with wrap-around balconies and shuttered windows, allowing ocean breezes in.  Each cabin has two double beds with mosquito nets. The main area consists of a bar, restaurant and expansive deck with large, cushioned chairs and couches. The boat station, from which we catch our ride to and from Maroantsetra, is just a ten minute walk away.  Relais de Masoala is set on a small channel, just a short walk from the beautiful white-sand beach.
