Posada Amazonas is a rustic 30 bedroom eco-lodge that is jointly owned by the local Ese-Eja community of Infierno. Located 2 hours upriver from Puerto Maldonado, the lodge was built using a combination of traditional native materials and architecture, and modern day technology. Each room has a private bathroom (cold water shower), beds with mosquito netting and a hammock for relaxing.
