Nile Safari Lodge
Location
Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda
Located on the southern banks of Victoria Nile among thick papyrus forest, Nile Safari Lodge enjoys a reputation for one of the most desirable locations in the Murchison Falls region. The lodge is built on an elevated rise with views across the river and surrounding area and abundant wildlife. Ten wood and canvas chalets are positioned to maximize stunning vistas and a sense of seclusion in the African wild. All have en suite bathrooms and private verandas from which to watch the local hippos, crocodiles and prolific birdlife, including an occasional glimpse of the elusive shoebill stork. Elephants, vervet monkeys and baboons are also common visitors around the lodge. Shared facilities include an open-air restaurant, bar/lounge beneath a soaring thatched roof, swimming pool, and a superb extended deck overlooking the river, sheltered beneath a giant cluster fig tree. An open fire pit is strategically positioned for stargazing, birdwatching and dancing. The lodge offers a range of activities including birdwatching, nature walks, boat cruises and massage therapy.
