Set in an 8-acre garden just a few minutes away from Arusha National Park, Ngurdoto Lodge offers spectacular views of Mount Meru and Ngurdoto Crater as well as the snow-capped dome of Kilimanjaro. An excellent starting point for safaris to Tanzania's iconic wildlife destinations, the lodge offers accommodations in seven spacious bungalows built in the traditional round Meru style with conical thatched roofs. Each has an en suite bathroom. One bungalow is a two-bedroom unit with central lounge and fireplace and can be equipped with additional sleeping facilities to accommodate families with children. Two rooms in the main lodge are also available. The lush grounds include a large garden with shade trees and a swimming pool, and a vegetable garden that provides fresh produce for the restaurant. Excellent home-cooked meals also include dairy products from the lodge's own stock. Internet access is provided, and laundry service is available. The lodge is located on the doorstep of Arusha National Park, a hiker's paradise filled with abundant variety of wildlife.
