National Geographic Endeavour II
Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
The nimble, maneuverable Endeavour II expedition vessel is uniquely suited to exploring the Galapagos Islands. An open, covered top deck, sun deck and large windows in the lounge provide ample viewing space for observing the incredible wildlife and landscapes of the Galapagos.
Recently renovated, the Endeavour II accommodates 96 guests in 42 double cabins and 11 solo cabins, each offering a large window for viewing the isles as we sail past. The Endeavour II’s contemporary cabins include two single beds (some of which convert into a queen-size bed), organic cotton duvets, crisp cotton sheets, a chair and writing desk, under-bed storage space and spacious closets; while three suites also include either floor-to-ceiling or large windows, an armchair or sofa, and suite-sized bathrooms.
The dining room serves fresh, delicious cuisine infused with local flavors, with unassigned tables to create an informal atmosphere that encourages mingling with fellow travelers and naturalists. The lounge features a full-service bar and redesigned facilities where all aboard can enjoy nature films, slide shows and presentations. The Endeavour II also offers equipment for active exploration, including snorkeling gear, wetsuits for all, a Zodiac landing craft, kayaks, and a glass-bottom boat.
